This English text is a translation of the Turkish original. If the two differ, the Turkish text prevails, without limiting any rights you have under laws that cannot be set aside by agreement.
Scope: This policy explains the cookies used on the zolpix.com website and the similar technologies that store data in your browser. Further information on the personal data processed through cookies is in the Personal Data Processing Notice and the Privacy Policy.
In brief
- The site uses only Zolpix's own cookies. We do not use advertising, tracking, social media or third-party cookies.
- The cookies we use are for running the site (session, security, cart, live support) and for remembering the choices you make (language, currency, cookie preference).
- We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we use them in future, they will run only if you consent, and this policy will be updated beforehand.
- You can change your cookie preference at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that the website you visit stores in your browser. By reading this file on later requests, the site remembers, for example, that you are signed in or what is in your cart. The browser's local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) are technologies used for similar purposes.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for you to be able to use the site and for your security; a service you request (signing in, cart, payment, live support) cannot be provided without them. They are set without asking for your consent and cannot be switched off in the cookie preferences. Except for zolpix_consent, their contents are stored in encrypted form.
__Host-zolpix_session(session cookie): Keeps your session, your sign-in status, the coupon you applied to your cart and form security. Duration: 120 minutes from your last activity.XSRF-TOKEN: Verifies that forms and live support requests are sent by you (protection against cross-site request forgery). Duration: 120 minutes.zolpix_cart: Remembers your cart while you shop without an account. Duration: 30 days.zolpix_consent: Remembers your cookie preference ("necessary only" or "all"). Duration: 180 days.zolpix_chat: Links your live support conversation to your browser. It is set only when you send your first message in live support, not when you browse the site. Duration: 30 days.remember_web_…: Set only if you tick "Remember me" when signing in; it lets you sign in without entering your password again. Duration: 400 days. This cookie is deleted when you sign out.
3. Preference cookies
These cookies are set only when you make a choice, and they only remember that choice; they are not used for any other purpose.
zolpix_locale: Remembers the site language you chose; when you come to the home page, it takes you to that language. Duration: 1 year.zolpix_currency: Remembers the currency you chose for displaying prices (TRY, USD or EUR). It does not change the amount charged. Duration: 1 year.
4. Cookies used only by Zolpix staff
The __Host-zolpix_admin and zolpix_admin_lang cookies are used only when Zolpix staff sign in to the administration panel; they are not set in the browsers of visitors and customers.
5. Browser storage (similar technologies)
To work properly across pages, the live support window keeps the following entries in your browser. These entries stay in your browser; they are not used for advertising or tracking.
- Session storage (deleted when you close the tab):
zolpix.chat.open(the page on which the chat window was left open),zolpix.chat.draft(a message draft you have not yet sent; it does not reach us unless you send it),zolpix.chat.state(the state of the conversation and the number of unread messages; it contains no name or message text),zolpix.chat.greeted,zolpix.chat.unread,zolpix.chat.seen(greeting and read information). - Local storage (kept until you delete it):
zolpix.chat.spot(the position of the chat button on the screen),zolpix.chat.greeting-dismissed(the fact that you closed the greeting bubble).
On a shared device, remember that a message draft you have not sent stays in the browser until the tab is closed.
6. Cookies we do not use
- Advertising and targeting cookies.
- Social media plug-in or tracking code (pixel) cookies.
- Third-party analytics cookies.
- Any identifier used for cross-site tracking.
The "Analytics cookies" option in the cookie preferences window does not set any cookie, because there is currently no measurement tool on the site. If we add a measurement tool, it will run only if you consent; the tool's name, purpose, cookies and durations will be added to this policy before it takes effect.
7. Consent and managing your preferences
- A cookie notice is shown on your first visit to the site. "Reject" allows only strictly necessary cookies; "Accept" also allows non-essential cookies; "Preferences" lets you choose one by one. The two options carry equal weight, and no option is pre-selected.
- You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in, the cart, payment and live support may not work.
8. Legal basis
Processing through strictly necessary cookies is based on providing the service you requested (Article 5(2)(c) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, "KVKK") and on our legitimate interest in the security of the site (Art. 5(2)(f)). Preference cookies only remember a choice you have made. Non-essential analytics or similar cookies are used only with your explicit consent (Art. 5(1)). This approach has been set in line with the Personal Data Protection Board's guide on cookie practices. For users in the EU/EEA, consent for non-essential cookies is also required under the applicable EU legislation.
9. Changes
When our use of cookies changes, we update this policy before any new cookie starts to be used. The current version is published on this page with its version number and effective date.
